Hyde Racing skid plates are 1/3 the weight of aluminum skid plates and offer a sleek factory look. Made of a Teflon/Co-polymer, these revolutionary skid plates come with stainless steel hardware and are abrasion resistant unlike current poly-resin skid plates. The Hyde Racing form fitting design restricts mud accumulation allowing for lower engine temperatures due to more air flow, as a result there is no loss of horsepower. After 6 months of riding it's held up with minimal wear. Most impacts have been from wood/logs- so can't comment on hard rock impacts- but I've hit it against some downed trees and low-speed rocks and it's been fine. Bolted up pretty easily and can be removed easily as well if you need to drop the plate to clear out mud after muddy rides.
